About Steve Miller

Steve Miller is the editor of Casino Collectible News (CCN) and an avid member of the Casino Collectibles Association (CCA). He has been a CCA member for over 35 years and part of the staff of Casino Collectible News since 2014.

Miller’s collecting and research interests include collectibles from casinos, casinos and Las Vegas history, history of Nevada, neon signs, theaters, Art Deco, roadside architecture, and historic commercial culture. His other CCA-related activities include contributing to the ChipGuide with casino collectible-related content, as well as participating in CCA activities and conventions.

Miller has had a broad professional background in fields related to entertainment and education. He worked in the movie-theatre business in New York City, was a New York stagehand, and then taught Business and Technology in New Jersey.

Miller has a B.S. in Management Information and an M.S. in Educational Technology.

Editorial Recognition & Awards

Steve’s work for Casino Collectible News has been recognized by the American Numismatic Association (ANA).

In 2015, the Casino Collectible News, with Steve Miller as the editor, has received Second Place in the Specialty Clubs category of the ANA’s competition.

In 2016, the magazine has received First Place in the Specialty Clubs category, with Steve Miller and Robb McPherson as the editors.

Steve was also awarded the Greg Susong Memorial Award by the Casino Collectibles Association in 2025.

Casino Collecting & Research

Steve’s activities are not limited to writing about casino collectibles for his blog. The man is also interested in the history and material culture of casinos, such as chips and other collectibles, historic casinos, Las Vegas and Nevada history, neon signs, and roadside attractions.

In addition, Steve has participated in the collecting community by contributing to ChipGuide, a website that publishes articles about casino collectibles. Besides, collector resources also credit Steve Miller of Emerson, New Jersey, with being part of the casino collecting community.

Finally, Steve’s hobby and passion for historic commercial culture and its preservation through research, writing, and organizing have prompted him to found the Society for Commercial Archeology.
