About Casino Collectible News
Casino Collectible News (CCN) is the quarterly publication of The CC>CC d/b/a Casino Collectibles Association. We began in 1988 with the Atlantic City Chip & Token Newsletter. Since then, we have built a strong publishing history spanning decades, eventually becoming Casino Chip and Token News and later Casino Collectible News with the support of the casino collecting community.
Today, CCN covers a variety of topics in Casino collectibles, including but not limited to:
- Casino chips
- Gaming tokens
- Casino memorabilia
- Gaming history
- Collector Research
- Discoveries
- Stories from the casino-collecting community
The CCN website also hosts and maintains an archive of publications and articles that date back to the original newsletter, preserving our rich history.
Our History
Our journey in documenting casino collecting and gaming history started more than three decades ago.
The first ever issue of the Atlantic City Chip & Token Newsletter was published in 1988 by Archie Black, a.k.a. Mr. Chips. Back then, the publication was intended to introduce new collectors to the hobby and to share information about new chip issues and varieties exclusively with the collectors of Atlantic City casino chips and tokens
Soon, the collecting community began to grow, and the publication expanded its scope beyond just Atlantic City. It became Casino Chip and Token News and later Casino Collectible News, with the focus expanded to cover wider ranges of the hobby.
